Let's Sew: Turkey Table Topper Pattern (included)
Thanksgiving is almost here and it's turkey season!
Use fabrics from our fall fat quarter bundles to make this Turkey Table Topper - the instructions for making this project are below.
You'll need:
- 4 FQs for applique and piecing
- 1 gold stripe FQ for block background and binding
- 1 FQ for backing
- 16" square of batting
- Fusible web
- Coordinating thread
Cutting:
From each of 4 FQs:
(4) 3-1/2" squares
(4) 3-1/2" squares
From gold stripe FQ:
(1) 10" square
(1) 10" square
(4) 2-1/4" x WOF strips from remainder
From backing:
(1) your 16" square
(1) your 16" square
Making the Turkey Table Topper
Step 1 Using the template in the link above, trace shapes onto the paper side of fusible web, fuse to desired fabric, and cut out shapes. Fuse to the 10" gold stripe square and zig zag stitch to secure appliques in place. Square up to measure 9-1/2" square.

Step 2 Lay out (16) 3-1/2" squares around the turkey block. 

Step 4 Layer the turkey top with batting and backing, baste the layers together, and quilt as desired. Trim backing and batting even with the quilt top and use the gold stripe binding strips to bind.
