Cutaway

Cutaway backing is a very common stabilizer used for embroidery because it is permanent and stretch-resistant. This type of stabilizer can last through everyday wear and tear, and many launderings in your washer. Cutaway embroidery stabilizer is what you find on the back of most of your sweatshirts, golf shirts, and even your kid’s clothing. Like typical embroidery backing, it will go on the opposite side of the fabric from your embroidery design, and you will cut the excess from around the design when you are finished.
