Embroidery Backing/Stabilizer and Embrodiery Topping

Before you begin your next embroidery project, make sure you have the correct backing and topping material on-hand and ready to go. Embroidery backing (sometimes referred to as stabilizer) is a material that acts as the foundation of your entire project. The topping material makes sure your stitches don’t sink into the fabric and disappear. Once you use backing and topping once, you can never go without it again!
