These precut and ready-to-sew kits come with everything you need to create a 3-layer protective face mask. Each kit contains precut fabric made from 100% cotton for the outer and lining fabric, as well as a third layer of Nanoweb® FM filter media from H&V. Elastic strips for the ear loops, and a wire for the nose bridge are also included in these kits.
Easy to Sew Kits
The pattern/instructions offer directions for two styles of elastic ear loops as well as alternate instructions for using a single strand tie. Each package includes the materials to sew 4 one-size-fits-most protective face coverings. This kit will also include 12 pieces of NanoWeb® FM filter replacements.
Nanoweb® FM media is specifically designed for use in homemade fabric face masks (unlike coffee filters, vacuum bag filters and furnace filters reportedly being used as a last resort in homemade masks). Inserting a layer of NanoWeb®FM offers the mask wearer ten times the protection over 2 layers of cotton quilters fabric alone. The mask features a pocket, so the user can easily replace the NanoWeb® FM media, to avoid the degradation that can occur with washable filters.*
